A postdoctoral position isopen in a vigorous research laboratory in the Herman B Wells Center, Indiana University School of Medicine at Indianapolis. The successful candidate will participate in molecular, genetic and cellular biological studies of the role of Tet2, Asxl1 and/or Setbp1 in the pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies utilizing state of the art gene-modified mouse models. Specifically, these projects deal with the mechanisms by which alterations of these genes cause myeloid malignancies (Li et al. Blood, 2011; Wang et al. Blood, 2013). Qualified applications should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, with demonstrated expertise in molecular, genetic and cellular studies. Solid experiences in the following methodologies are pluses, such as protein-protein interactions, shRNA transfection, bioinformatics, chromatin IP, multiple color flow cytometric analysis and gene targeting.
